How SpinningTool Randomness Works

Understand how SpinningTool selects wheel results, uses secure browser randomness and aligns the winning segment with the pointer.

SpinningTool is designed so that the result shown to the user matches the segment that finishes underneath the fixed wheel pointer. When a spin begins, the active entries are converted into angular segments around the wheel. If weighted entries are enabled, the size or selection probability of each segment is calculated according to its configured weight. Where supported by the browser, SpinningTool uses the Web Crypto API to generate secure random values rather than relying only on basic pseudo-random browser functions. A landing position is selected inside the winning segment, and the wheel animation is then calculated so that this position finishes beneath the pointer. The displayed winner is based on the segment at the final pointer position. This keeps the visual outcome and the reported result consistent. Previous spins do not influence future spins unless a wheel has been specifically configured to remove or disable selected entries. Receiving the same result more than once can therefore be completely normal when repeated winners are allowed. Simulation tools can be used to inspect whether repeated spins appear reasonably distributed over a large sample. However, simulations do not prove perfect randomness and SpinningTool is not certified for regulated gambling, licensed lotteries, financial decisions or other legally controlled selection processes. SpinningTool should be treated as a general-purpose random choice and entertainment utility.

Designed around user control

SpinningTool keeps the interactive wheel separate from account features. You can make ordinary random choices without signing in, while optional account features are available when you want to save, publish, organize or share a wheel across devices.
